We currently have an opportunity for a Community and Centre Manager to join Peterborough Women’s Aid.

You will manage our Women’s Centre, Anne’s House in Peterborough.You will be responsible for groups, events and partnership working.You will manage the staff and volunteers based at the Centre and work alongside our co-location colleagues.

We are looking for an experienced manager who is passionate about making a difference to Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • To ensure that all work by community staff is carried out in line with Peterborough Women’s Aid Case Management Policy

  • To act as the designated Safeguarding Lead in the absence of the CEO and make safeguarding decisions.

  • To facilitate team meetings and reflective practice sessions.

  • To line manage community staff. This includes monthly supervision, daily welfare checks, approving expenses and identifying development needs.

  • To line manage volunteers providing monthly supervision

  • To be responsible for room bookings at our Women’s Centre, Anne’s House

  • To work closely and plan with partner organisations to set up events at Anne’s House

  • To respond to the needs of the community and set up groups / events according to those needs

  • To ensure that all delivery or groups and services at Anne’s House are inclusive and accessible.

  • To manage Health and Safety at Anne’s House

  • To attend partnership meeting and promote the work of PWA.

To ensure that service delivery of projects is in line with contractual obligations.

  • To facilitate training events to professionals and community members

  • To ensure that community staff and volunteers are working within PWA policies

  • To cover for community staff and work directly with clients when needed.

  • To work within the PWA values

  • To undertake any other reasonable duties as asked by the CEO
