A Poem From One of Our Survivors
One of our survivors wrote a beautiful poem and we wanted to share it with you.
They stalk their prey in the broad daylight
A master manipulator showing his might
Wearing a mask so the crowd doesn’t see
They believe he’s amazing as good as can be
He says he will save you and show you the light
But your left in the darkness with no will to fight
You thought him a saviour an end to the curse
But the pain your now feeling is so much worse
You thought you’d escaped it put an end to your pain
But your still in his story still playing his game
And the cuts just get deeper as he shreds your heart
And they says he’s a keeper because he’s so smart
Don’t they see that I’m fading becoming a shell
No longer a person while under his spell
The chains just get tighter as you try to break free
Words just get harsher there’s no good to see
I know that I’m drowning I’m lost and I’m done
I am done crying and fighting forget it you’ve won
